Is it ok to use a RamDisk on any benchmarks, specifically X265?

I only have 4gb sticks of DDR3 and think it is too much for my Phenom II B555 as it is running hotter than when it was on my other motherboard with 4gb of DDR2.

RamDisks are often free now and let you use 4gb of the RAM so wouldn't be an unfair advantage in the sense nobody else can use them.

I'm going to bench with one even if I don't upload to HwBot just to see if it helps, might also put the pagefile on there too and see what happens.

Answered the question myself, RamDisks are a waste of time for getting decent bench results.

You also could have saved time and read the general rules section that refers to ram disk. But if it was fun, it is no waste of time ^^
